Myrmecotypus rubrofemoratus Perger & Rubio, 2021a: 3, figs 2–6 (holotype, ♂, BOLIVIA: Santa Cruz department: Cafetal coffee plantation, 3 km west of Buena Vista village; in Instituto de Biología Subtropical, Misiones, Argentina, IBSI-Ara 1507, not examined)
Diagnosis. Males of Myrmecotypus rubrofemoratus resemble those of M. formicus comb. nov. and M. drogon spec. nov. by the tibia I ventral spination 3-3 and by the presence of a tegular process in the male palp (Figs 14D, I) but can recognized by the RTP being wider than the embolus (Fig. 14D). Females differ from other Myrmecotypus by the presence of two furrows below the copulatory openings (Perger & Rubio 2021: fig. 3B)
