Cheilosia (Rubrocheila) egregia Barkalov & Cheng, 1998: 314 . Type locality: “ China: Sichuan: Emei Shan, 3000–3200 m ” (holotype, ♀, ZICAS).

Differential diagnosis

Cheilosia egregia is the single taxon of the subgenus Rubrocheila Barkalov, 2002 . The species is easily distinguished from all congeners by the following combination of characters: abdominal terga orange in anterior ⅔ parts, and black in posterior ⅓, basoflagellomere with a dusky yellow colour and arista with distinct pilosity.
