Erbessus grossus (Stål, 1863)

This genus has three described species (Wygodzinsky 1947c). A synopsis of Erbessus Stål, 1872 and a key to separate the species was given by Wygodzinsky (1947c). E. grossus was recorded previously from Brazil and Peru (Fracker & Bruner 1924; Maldonado 1990). The specimens listed below are the first record from Colombia (Fig. 45). This species seems to be restricted to the Amazon basin.
