Tydides rufus (Serville, 1831)

Tydides Stål, 1865, has four described species (Maldonado 1990). Lent & Jurberg (1967) in their revision of the genus only mentioned T. quator from Colombia. Even though T. rufus is a widespread species in the Neotropical region, this is a new record from Colombia (Fig. 50).
