Microlestria fuscicollis (Stål, 1860)
This species seems to exhibit some chromatic variability, as already indicated by Champion (1899). The Colombian specimen from Cauca is darker than other specimens examined. A review of the genus would help to establish the limits among Microlestria species. M. fuscicollis has been previously known only from Mexico, Guatemala, Panama, and Brazil (Champion 1899, Maldonado 1990). The specimens listed below are new records from Colombia, Peru and Bolivia.
