Stenus trepidus Waterhouse, 1877

Type locality: S. E. Africa, Zambesi .

Material examined. SOUTH AFRICA: Eastern Cape: 7 ♂, 11 ♀: NE of Somerset East, NW Glen Avon farm, 32°42.7’S, 25°38.4’E, 17.xi.2021, J. Janák lgt. (JJRC) .

Distribution. The species is widely distributed in Africa south of Sahara: Guinea, Nigeria, D. R. Congo, Uganda, Rwanda, Kenya, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, South Africa and is recorded from Madagascar as well.
