Phaseolus albinervus Freytag & Debouck (2002: 127) [clade B; sect. Paniculati Freytag].

TYPE: M Lavin et al. 5426 (HOLOTYPE: TEX-371372; ISOTYPES: CAS-817320, F-2060227, MO-3412308, NY, UCR-46735).

This scandent pluriannual shrub seems to be known only from the type locality in W Chihuahua, Mexico.

This species has been validated as a member of the Paniculati (Delgado-Salinas et al. 2006); it seems to share with P. salicifolius and P. sonorensis the trait of blooming in spring.
