Pachynematus pumilio Konow, 1903a: 383 (key). Lectotype designated below.

Diagnosis

Its small size (3.5–4.5 mm), largely pale body, simple claws, and distinctive lancet and penis valve distinguish this species from the others.

Host plants

Ribes nigrum (Hukkinen 1922) . Larvae feed singly inside the berries. One generation per year.

Only one sequence available. The nearest neighbour, diverging by a minimum of 2.5%, is Euura oligospila .

Palaearctic. Specimens studied are from Finland, Germany, Russia, and Sweden.
