Material examined. South Korea. Chungcheongbuk-do: 1 ♂, Cheongwon-gun, Ochang-eup, Ochang Lake Park (36.715101, 127.425149), 28.iv.2021, leg. Wonwoong Kim (HNIBR) .

Distribution. Korea (Chungcheongbuk-do), Japan (Honshu) (Souma 2019).

Comments. The presence of this species was recognized by Jun Souma while checking the observation records on iNaturalist.org, originally misidentified as Leptoypha wuorentausi (Lindberg, 1927) by the first author in 2021. With this identification help, the specimen was secured and subsequently sent to the senior author the same year for confirmation. This represents a successful case where citizen science platforms could positively contribute in monitoring local species diversity.
