Diagnosis. Body slender and elongate, with thorax unusually produced before wings. Head usually subglobose; occipital carina joining hypostomal carina far from base of mandible; gena close to junction of occipital and hypostomal carinae usually projected into a lobe; clypeus concave apically, exposing labrum. Upper end of epicnemial carina near ventral corner of pronotum. Metasomal insertion above but close to coxal insertions. Hind wing with 2–11 basal hamuli on vein C. Metasoma with tergite I elongate and upcurved posterior to middle; spiracle anterior to middle of tergite I; sternite I extending far beyond the level of spiracle.
