Habit: perennial herbs, stoloniferous, monoecious or dioecious (25–70 cm).

Habitat: in the moist crevices of the rocks.

Distribution: Africa, Pakistan, India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Sikkim, Bhutan, China, Philippines, Vietnam, Indonesia, and Timor-Leste.
