Orthocypris ? sp. indet. A
(Pl. IV: Fig. 13)
2013 Orthocypris ? sp. indet. A; Maillet: 172, pl. XXVII, fig. 16.
Material. 1 specimen (1 C).
Description. Medium-sized elongated ovoidal carapace, well rounded sub-rectangular outline in lateral view. Very slight ventral and antero-dorsal overlap of the larger LV over the RV. Bow-shaped projection in ventral view. Hmax median; Lmax median; Wmax median. Slightly convex dorsal and ventral margins, slightly converging both anteriorly and posteriorly. Regularly convex and arched anterior and posterior margins. Anterior and posterior parts of the carapace almost symmetrical. Surface smooth.
Discussion. This single specimen shows features well corresponding to the definition of the Orthocypris genus. Its bad preservation does not allow a more precise identification. Maybe it is an adult of O. cicatricosa Coen, 1985 .
Occurrences. Middle Givetian (Candás Fm, mb C), Asturias (Peran-Perlora section).
