Coeloenellina sp. P1
(Pl. I: Fig. 18)
2013 Coeloenellina sp. P1; Maillet: 70.
Material. 6 specimens (5 C, 1 V).
Description. Medium-sized carapace, suboval in lateral view, biconvex in dorsal view. Slight ventral overlap of the larger RV over the LV. Hmax median; Lmax slightly dorsal; Wmax median. Dorsal margin convex, more arched in its middle part. Straight hinge line in a dorsal depression. Ventral margin regularly convex. Wellrounded anterior and posterior margins, with anterior margin very arched. Posterior part of the carapace wider than the anterior one. In ventral view, admarginal slight groove along the free margins of each valve. Surface smooth.
Discussion. These specimens are very badly preserved, and consequently any identification to species level is difficult. Their morphology is reminiscent of C. minima (Kummerow, 1953), but our specimens show a larger carapace with an anterior part narrower than this species.
Occurrence. Middle and Upper Givetian (Candás Fm, mbs C and D), Asturias (Peran-Perlora section).
