Pyemotes ventricosus (Newport, 1850)

Host/habitat: Levuana iridescens ( Zygaenidae), Promecotheca bicolor, P. caerulipennis, P. opacicollis and P. reichei ( Chrysomelidae).

Distribution: Unspecified (Tothill 1927; Swaine 1971), all the larger islands and Lau group (Taylor 1936, 1937).

Remarks: This species was first recorded from Fiji as Pediculoides ventricosus by A.G. Carment in 1921 (noted by Taylor 1937).
