Apexolichus velifer (Trouessart, 1899) *

Host/habitat: Prosopeia personata, P. tabuensis ( Psittaculidae).

Distribution: Unspecified (Trouessart 1899; Favette & Trouessart 1904; Dabert et al. 2008).

Remarks: This species was recorded as Pterolichus (Pr.) velifer by Rainbow (1906). Protolichus splendens described on Prosopeia tabuensis from Fiji by Favette and Trouessart (1904) is considered a junior synonym of A. velifer (Dabert et al. 2008) .
