Lectotype (Ali in Bot. Not. 111: 552. 1958; Sanjappa in Turland & Jarvis in Taxon 46: 474. 1997): Herb. Linn. No. 923.3, right specimen (LINN) .

Current name: Indigofera trifoliata L. ( Fabaceae: Faboideae).

Note: Ali (in Bot. Not. 111: 552. 1958), followed by other authors, designated the whole sheet 923.3 (LINN) as the type. However, subsequent study has shown this sheet to bear a mixture of materials and Sanjappa therefore restricted Ali’s original choice to that part of the material that corresponds with I. trifoliata of usage.
