Remarks.

Ross (1953) described Atopsyche explanata from an unspecified locality in the Cosñipata Valley in the Cuzco Department (Peru). It has also been recorded from Puente Unión in the Cosñipata Valley (UMSP; GBIF. org 2025). We record it for the first time from the Pasco Department, approximately 520 km northwest of Puente Unión.
