Type locality— 50 miles W.N.W. of Tearaght, Ireland, 559.61 m
Material examined. Maroc-0411: MO09, 1♀. Maroc-0611: MO263, 1♂.
Remarks. Our material agrees with the description and figures of the holotype given by Carpenter (1905).
Habitat. This species has been recorded in the continental shelf and slope, between 3 and 905 m. Our material was collected between 410 and 1213 m.
Geographical distribution. Species with an area of distribution restricted to the Northeast Atlantic, with records from West Ireland (Carpenter 1905), the English Channel (Stock 1978) and the north of Portugal (Soler-Membrives & Munilla 2015). Our specimes were collected from the north coast of Morocco to the north of Western Sahara, which increases its geographical distribution towards the south.
