Anoplodactylus polignaci Bouvier, 1914

Type locality— Sylvana, off Bubak Islands, Guinea-Bissau, 25–30 m.

Material examined. CCLME-1110: BT160, 1♂.

Remarks. Our material agrees with the description and figures of the holotype provided by Bouvier (1914).

Habitat. This species had been reported from shells and foraminifera bottoms (Stock 1966), between 25 and 50 m. Our material was collected at 47 m.

Geographical distribution. Anoplodactylus polignaci had been previously recorded from Florida (Hedgpeth 1948) and from Guinea (Bouvier 1914; Fage 1942; Stock 1966). Our specimen was collected from the north of Mauritania.
