Pheidole strigosa HNS new species

Etymology L strigosa HNS, thin, lean.
diagnosis A member of the diligens HNS group similar to alfaroi HNS, laticornis HNS, and seligmanni HNS, distinguished from these and other diligens HNS group species by the following combination of traits.
Major: head elongate, with deeply convex occipital border seen in full-face view; pronotum bilobous in dorsal-oblique view; propodeal spines reduced to denticles; postpetiole from above bell-shaped; sculpturing of head limited to carinulae on the anterior third.
Minor: propodeal spines absent, with the basal and declivitous faces of the propodeum joining in a smooth convexity; occiput narrow, with a nuchal collar.
Measurements (mm) Holotype major: HW 1.14, HL 1.40, SL 1.00, EL 0.18, PW 0.64.
Paratype minor: HW 0.56, HL 0.72, SL 0.96, EL 0.14, PW 0.40.
Color Major: body, mandibles, and scape medium yellowish brown, legs yellow.
Minor: head medium brown with yellow anterior genal border; rest of body light brown; appendages yellow.
Range Known only from the type locality.
Biology Collected from the floor of lowland rainforest.
