Distribution. First record of Macrouroides inflaticeps in the WSA. Collected from off Bahia, Espírito Santo and Rio de Janeiro, at depths from 875 to 1721.m. It was described from off the Luzon Island, Philippines (13°23’15” N, 124°00’30” E). It is known from several localities in the Atlantic, Indian, and Pacific oceans (Adam et al. 1998; Pequeño 1989; Uyeno et al. 1983)
