Material examined: Angola, 1 ♀, Nº 1907 (blue label), nº 203 (white label), old collection, box nº IX-78, MZUC .

Remarks. Despite its more southern-eastern known distribution, the adult specimen of MZUC fits well this species description (Figs. 9e, f). It could be confused with Oxythyrea marginalis (Swartz, 1817), but its green sheen is very noticeable. Biological and ecological data were provided by Holm & Marais (1992). It is a new species record for Angola.
