Type Locality: "Estrella de Cartago, Costa Rica. This locality is six to eight miles [10 to 13 km] south of Cartago near the source of the Rio Estrella, at an altitude of about 4, 500 feet [1372 m]." .
Vernacular Names: Harris's Olingo.
Distribution: Costa Rica (known only from the type locality).
Conservation: IUCN – Endangered.
