Holotype: South Africa • ♀; Cape Colony; 22 Oct. 1898; C.P. Lounsbury; ex Dactylopius sp. on gorse; Cat. No. 5727 (USNM).
Comments.
The NHMUK specimen database states that specimens from South Africa: Nelspruit, v.1932 ex Pseudococcus are almost certainly a misidentification of A. kamburovi by Ferrière; A. loun(d)sburyi was originally reared from gorse. Specimens in very bad condition.
Biology.
Parasitoid of Dactylopius sp. ( Hemiptera, Dactylopiidae) on gorse (Ashmead 1901).
