Russelliana sp. 13

Material examined. Chile: 1 ♀, IX Region, Loncoche, nr El Liuco, 28–29.i.1985, Baccharis sp. (D. Hollis) (BMNH, on slide).

Comments. The specimen resembles R. adela, bicolorata, intermedia and xantha, in long genal processes and long antennae. It differs from the four species in very dense surface spinules on the forewing membrane, present in all cells and leaving no spinule-free stripes along the veins, and from R. adela, intermedia and xantha in a shape of the forewing which is broadest in its middle. From R. adela it also differs in a yellow forewing membrane and a female proctiger with a dorsal margin bent downwards.
