Description Macropterous Female. Length 3.32; maximum width (across humeral angles) 1.04. Similar to apterous female in general structure and coloration with following exceptions: pronotum length/width: 0.98/1.04, humeral angles slightly prominent, apex slightly produced to a broadly rounded angle; hemelytra truncate, bearing one closed cell, with brown setae in subcosta.
Ecological notes. This species was collected from mangrove lagoons in the Estero Villa del Sol, El Morro and Agua Clara (Fig. 1). It was most abundant in Estero Villa del Sol, where the habitat is characterized by air temperature 30 ºC, water temperature 28.5 ºC, pH 7.5, conductivity 1 S/m and dissolved oxygen 40%. This species was found in combination with Telmatometroides rozeboomi and Mesovelia mulsanti White, 1879; in Río Rosario, joint with Telmatrometra whitei Bergroth, 1908.
