HOLOTYPE: AMNH 505298, adult male, collected at Pulún (5 Bulún), 160 ft, 01.05N, 78.40W (Paynter, 1993), Esmeraldas, Ecuador, on 6 December 1900, by G. Flemming (no. 253). From the Rothschild Collection.

COMMENTS: Hartert had a single specimen when this form was described and Flemming’s field number of the holotype was given in the original description.
