Hosts. Poaceae: Dichanthelium acuminatum (Sw.) Gould & C.A. Clark, D. clandestinum (L.) Gould, D. * malacophyllum (Nash) Gould, D. scoparium (Lam.) Gould (Eiseman & Lonsdale 2018) .
Leaf mine. See Eiseman & Lonsdale (2018).
Puparium. Yellow-orange to reddish-brown; formed outside the mine.
Distribution. USA: AR, GA, MA, MN, NC, OH, * OK.
Comments. Although this is the Agromyza species we have most commonly reared from Dichanthelium, three others are now known from this host, all forming seemingly indistinguishable leaf mines: A. indistincta Eiseman, Lonsdale & Feldman, A. parca Spencer, and A. proxima Spencer (Eiseman & Lonsdale 2018; Eiseman et al. 2019; Scheffer & Lonsdale 2018).
