Ophiomyia euthamiae Eiseman & Lonsdale

Material examined. VERMONT: Washington Co., Plainfield, Lightening Ridge Rd. (Chickering Bog), 6.ix.2015, em. 27.iii.2016, C.S. Eiseman, ex Euthamia graminifolia, #CSE2282, CNC634777 (1³).

Host. Asteraceae: Euthamia graminifolia (L.) Nutt.

Leaf mine. Whitish; very long and narrow, mostly on the lower surface, but ending on the upper surface; frass black, mostly in widely spaced grains.

Puparium. Black; formed within the mine.

Distribution. USA: MA, VT.

Comments. This specimen is the basis for the Vermont record listed by Eiseman & Lonsdale (2018), but it was omitted from the list of material examined.
