Miopsalis leakeyi (Shear, 1993) new comb.

Stylocellus leakeyi Shear, 1993: 185, figs. 79–87.

Comments: As with M. kinabalu, this species lacks an anal gland pore, has distinct eyes and a concave posterior gonostome, and it usually places inside Leptopsalis in morphometric phylogenies. However, given its location in the far northeastern end of Borneo, it is most likely in Miopsalis, which is supported by such features as extensive granulation on a claw-like second cheliceral article, broad meeting of second and fourth coxae, and a flattened lateral profile.

Material examined: Holotype, Male (BMNH 1999.171), Malaysia, Borneo, Sabah, Gunung Silum, elev. 880 m, 1983, col. R. Leakey .
