The genus Plexippus is known in Algeria by only two species: P. clemens (O. Pickard-Cambridge, 1872) reported by Logunov (2010), but without any precise locality and P. paykulli (Audouin, 1826) from Annaba and Constantine (Lucas 1846) and Alger, Béjaïa, Biskra, Blida and Tissemsilt (Logunov 2015)
