Type locality. Natal: Greytown [South Africa, KwaZulu-Natal].
Type material. Lectotype (here designated): 1 ♂, ‘Type [p] ♂ [hw, rounded, with red margin] / Natal [p] / NATAL, Greytown, P. M. Handley, eating pears [hw, Marshall´s handwriting] / Pres. By Imp. Bur. Ent. Brit. Mus. 1924-520 [p] / Eudraces flavirostris, TYPES. ♂♀. Mshl. [hw, Marshall´s handwriting] / Lectotype Eudraces flavirostris Marshall, R. Borovec design. 2016 [p, red]’ (BMNH). Paralectotype: 1 ♀, the same data as lectotype, only ‘ Type ♀ ’ (BMNH) .
