Comments.

Mineo (1990a) stated that he found and examined the holotype specimen of Plastogryon elegans in the South Australia Museum. Mineo (1991) placed this species in the Gryon aureum species group, which he described as having "mandibles subtridentate" and "frontal depression large but moderately deep, crossed by very fine and dense striae." This forms our basis for transferring this species to Hadronotus .
