Current name: Lamiastrum galeobdolon (L.) Ehrend. & Polatschek ( Lamiaceae).

Note: As noted by Stearn (in Geck & Pressler, Festschr. Claus Nissen: 631. 1974), Lamium galeobdolon is a typographical error, the generic name Galeopsis having been misplaced, with the result that Galeopsis galeobdolon L. (1753) appeared as Lamium galeobdolon . The latter name did not appear in Sp. Pl., ed. 2 (1763), nor in later Linnaean works. Lamium galeobdolon is therefore not a validly published Linnaean name.
