Generitype of Leontodon Linnaeus, nom. cons. (vide Green, Prop. Brit. Bot.: 178. 1929).

Current name: Leontodon hispidus L. ( Asteraceae).

Note: Specific epithet spelled “hispidum” in the protologue.

The number of the lectotype sheet was erroneously given as “53.9” by Jarvis & al. (Regnum Veg. 127: 60. 1993).
