Current name: Letharia vulpina (L.) Hue ( Parmeliaceae).

Note: Jørgensen & al. (in Bot. J. Linn. Soc. 115: 367, 383, f. 66. 1994) restricted Howe’s original type choice to one of the specimens on the sheet.
