Diagnosis.

Female. Body length 10.1–13.7 mm; fore wing 8.0– 11.6 mm. Body largely black, following markings whitish yellow: narrow stripes along inner orbit and posterior margin of eyes, posterior margin of pronotum (medially interrupted), a spot on tegulae, paired basolateral roundish spots on T 1, paired basal transverse spots on T 2, T 3 and T 5 (sometimes connected), dorsobasal spot on hind tibia (Fig. 6 A – D). Spur brown; squamiform pubescence usually brown (Fig. 6 D). Male. Body length 7.6–10.5 mm; fore wing 6.8–8.0 mm. In addition to spots seen in female, basal transverse line (or shortly interrupted medially) on T 2, T 3 and T 7 whitish yellow; ventral face of fore tibia and basal half of hind tibia reddish yellow (Fig. 7 A); spur white, and ventral faces of antennal flagellomeres brownish (Smith 1873; Bingham 1897; Kim 2022; Anju et al. 2024).
