Material examined.–Western Australia, Houtman Abrolhos Is (16°24'S, 123°07'E), coral rubble, 24 Aug 1981, NMV J1709, paratype.
Distribution: Australia, Western Australia (Houtman Abrolhos Is); coral rubble.
Remarks: The apex of the telson is more truncate than in other species and the posterior lobe of the uropodal exopod is narrower. Like E. macronesia, also from the Indian Ocean, the penultimate lateral seta on the telson apex is of a similar length to its neighbours, and the dorsal surface of the telson is covered in minute spinules (cf. E. collaris and the species from Aldabra).
