Expanathura macronesia (Kensley) (Fig. 20 c)

Panathura macronesia Kensley, 1980: 32 –35, figs 24, 25.— Kensley, 1988: 41, 42.— Müller, 1990c: 384 –387, figs 108–113.

Expanathura macronesia .— Wägele, 1981: 89, 121–122.— Negoescu & Wägele, 1984: 118.

Material examined.– Madagascar, Nosi Bé, intertidal, USNM 171724, paratype female.

Distribution: Madagascar, E of Mauritius, Réunion; intertidal and subtidal.

Remarks: Examination of a paratype female showed that the telson setation was very like that in E. haddae (see above) but that the telson is more rounded apically and the notch in the uropodal exopod is more pronounced. Kensley's (1988) record of this species from Aldabra is in doubt as material seen by us from this atoll differs (see Expanathura species 2).
