Lectotype (NHMW).
Diagnosis.
1.9-2.15 mm long (mean = 2.02 mm; n = 5); 2.86-3.07 × as long as wide. This species is distinguished by the anterior margin of the pronotum rounded; declivital strial punctures indistinct; interstrial granules large, distinct; elytral apex narrowly attenuate; and stouter form (Cognato et al. 2020a).
Similar species.
Coptodryas mus, Tricosa metacuneolus .
Distribution.
Brunei, East & West Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan.
Host plants.
Recorded only from two species of Shorea ( Dipterocarpaceae) (Schedl 1958b; Cognato et al. 2020a).
Remarks.
The gallery system has branched tunnels with small brood chambers in the longitudinal plane (Browne 1961b).
