Generitype of Plantago Linnaeus.

Current name: Plantago major L. subsp. major ( Plantaginaceae).

Note: Patzak & Rechinger (in Rechinger, Fl. Iranica 15: 3. 1965) indicated material at LINN as type, but did not distinguish between sheets 144.1 and 144.2. As these do not form part of a single gathering, Art. 9.15 does not apply.
