Generitype of Phyllanthus Linnaeus (vide Green, Prop. Brit. Bot.: 188. 1929).

Current name: Phyllanthus niruri L. ( Euphorbiaceae).

Note: Fawcett & Rendle (Fl. Jamaica 4: 256. 1920) indicated type material in LINN, but did not distinguish between sheets 1105.2 and 1105.3. The sheets are not from a single gathering so Art. 9.15 does not apply. Webster (pp. 4-7) provides a detailed review of the elements associated with this name.
