Lectotype (Reduron & Jarvis in Jarvis & al. in Taxon 55: 213, 560. 2006): Herb. Clifford: 105, Pastinaca 2, sheet A (BM-000558369) .

Current name: Opopanax chironium W.D.J. Koch ( Apiaceae).

Note: Reduron & Jarvis (in Jarvis & al. in Taxon 55: 213. 2006) designated Clifford material (BM) as the type, but failed to distinguish between three relevant sheets (which are evidently not part of a single gathering so Art. 9.15 does not apply). However, this omission was corrected (in Taxon 55: 560. 2006), from where the typification dates.
