Duke mentions that the holotype was in B. However, the protologue (Mattfeld, 1936) clearly states that the type is in F. Due to the existence of two sheets at F, here we designated the specimen [628040/0042712 F] as the lectotype. This species is listed as Critically Endangered (CR) (Cano and Sánchez 2006).
