Literature records. Attems (1951): Kerman Province. Malek-Hosseini & Zamani (2017): Deh Sheikh (Pataveh) Cave, Gakal Cave (Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad Province) (as Lithobius erythrocephalus cronebergii).

Distribution: from Europe, through the Arabian Peninsula and Middle East, to Iran.

Notes. The specimens recorded by Malek-Hosseini & Zamani (2017) were assigned to the subspecies Lithobius erythrocephalus cronebergii Sseliwanoff, 1881, which was described from a locality in the Caucasus.
