Neoperla clymene (Newman) .

This species is distributed across much of eastern North America from Texas and Oklahoma north to Illinois and east to North Carolina, Virginia and Pennsylvania (Stark 2004). Historically, with the exception of the northeastern corner, its distribution in Illinois was statewide (DeWalt et al. 2002). It has experienced great range loss and is currently known only from larger rivers at the periphery of Illinois (DeWalt et al. 2005). Grubbs (2004) listed it from three southern Indiana counties.
