Allocapnia tsalagi Grubbs, 2008

was described from a small spring in the Appalachian Plateau Physiographic Province of northeastern Alabama. This rare species was collected in the Ridge and Valley Physiographic Province in northern Georgia from a 1 st order stream 122 km east, and nearly at the same latitude as the type locality.
