Oemopteryx contorta (Needham & Claassen, 1925)

was described from Jaffery, New Hampshire and has been reported from adjacent states of Alabama (Grubbs 2006), Tennessee (Nelson 1982), and North Carolina (Kondratieff et al. 1995). This species of Brachypterainae was collected from a 2 nd order stream in the Appalachian Plateau Physiographic Province in the northwest corner of Georgia.
