Erethistes maesotensis Kottelat 1983 ^ZBK: 71, fig. 1. Type locality: Mae Nam Moei, 5 km west of Mae Sot, 16°41'N, 98°31'E, [Salween drainage] Thailand. Holotype: MHNG 2096.63. Paratypes: MHNG 2150.05 (1), 2150.05 (1).

Distribution: Mae Nam Moei, a tributary of the Salween River near Mae Sot on the Thai Burmese border (Kottelat, 1983; Kottelat, 1989).
