Pseudexostoma yunnanensis brachysoma Chu 1979 ^ZBK: 78 [English p. 81], fig. 3. Type locality: Hill stream running into the Nu River, near Laowo, Yunlong Xian, Yunnan, China. Holotype: KIZ 742093. Paratypes: KIZ (17).

Distribution: Salween drainage, China (Chu, 1979; Chu et al., 1999).
